Inverted Shelving

The Inverted Shelves from the Monkey Bar Garage Storage System are designed to clear up valuable floor space and use space that most of us don’t use (or even notice) in the garage. One of the great benefits of the Inverted Shelves is that they are wall mounted. This is important because they don't block the lights like many of the ceiling mounted shelving systems do. The Inverted Shelves are used primarily over garage doors. Some of the garages built today are built with tall ceiling heights, with much of the under-utilized space over the garage door. If you have items in your garage you only use once a year, like Christmas decorations, you should store those high and out of the way without taking up floor space. The Inverted Monkey Bar Garage Storage System needs 18 inches of clearance over the garage door.  The more clearance you have, the more storage space we can create for you.

Inverted Shelving Specs

• Inverted shelf is 24” deep
• 1” lip on the front of the Inverted shelves
• Inverted Bracket is 3/16” thick
• Inverted brackets are secured to the wall using two 2 ½”x3/8” lag screw
• Front of shelf is supported using a 1 ½”x1 ½” x 1/8” thick angle Iron
• Back of shelf is supported on each stud using a 2”x 1/8” angle piece
• Shelving is made of 3/4” melamine, laminated white on each side
• Shelf brackets hold 1000 lbs every 4 ft section
